Productivity and flower quality of different pot marigold (Calendula officinalis L.) varieties on the compost produced from medicinal plant waste

This article describes still insufficiently known technology of pot marigold cultivation with the compost produced from organic waste processing medicinal plants. For first time application was analyzed different amounts (control – without compost, 2, 10 and 30 kg/m2) on morphological, productive qualitative parameters two varieties (Doma?i oranž Plamen Plus). During five-year period, best results in both tested were achieved kg/m2 application. The yield dry flower higher for Doma?i variety fertilized (1957.4 kg/ha) compared Plus (451.1 kg/ha). A significantly fresh greatly influenced increase quantities examined quality (total carotenoids, total phenolic, flavonoids, DPPH reduction), whose content variety. artificial neural network model, built applying Broyden-Fletcher-Goldfarb-Shanno algorithm, exerted adequate forecasting abilities productivity flowers influence material, plants (R2 0.837 training period). research demonstrates that it is possible to use obtained plants, supporting effectiveness a circular economy model marigold.
